Grapevine is a city in Texas. It's known for its restored 19th- and 20th-century buildings. Many of these are on downtown's Main Street, which is lined with restaurants, galleries and shops. The Cotton Belt Railroad District is home to artisans’ workshops, including a glass-blowing studio, a blacksmith and a bronze foundry. The 1888 Cotton Belt Railroad Depot is the starting point of the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.
Grapevine is a suburb of Fort Worth adjacent to Grapevine Lake and the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The town took its name from Grape Vine Springs, named for the wild Mustang grapes native to the area. The city is now home to numerous wineries and the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association, as well as GrapeFest.
The Grapevine Vintage Railroad travels along the historic Cotton Belt Route between Grapevine and the Fort Worth Stockyards. The railroad hosts special events like the Great Train Robberies, Day Out with Thomas and North Pole Express. Grapevine draws visitors from around the U.S. with attractions like Grapevine Mills Mall, Great Wolf Lodge, and Gaylord Texan, overlooking beautiful Lake Grapevine. Grapevine, with its easy access to the many amenities of the Metroplex and its historic, hometown personality, offers its residents an ideal lifestyle.
